I just desired to take a moment and thank you for these informational emails. They have been complete and very helpful. We appreciate you and your staff's efforts, pulling a show together is not an easy task and we appreciate what you are doing!

Much love and energy to you in the remaining days to the show and we look forward to seeing you in CT next Sunday.

I just wanted to thank you and share with you what a wonderful experience I had. My talk attracted more folks than my room could accommodate - there was so much interest that there were folks listening in from the hallway. I took a poll of how many participants actually had holistic businesses/practices versus were considering starting one. Only 3 folks in the room had actual businesses - all the rest are in the dreaming and planning stage. This just confirmed for me what I'd already suspected. The field of alternative/complementary/holistic healing is still at an early stage in it's growth. This is exciting on many levels and bodes well for all of us. I look forward to speaking at other WHE's. Due to a family celebration, I won't be able to attend the one in Rhode Island in May. I will be in touch to discuss my travelling to other WHE's to speak on this and/or other topics. Thanks again for a wonderful expo yesterday!

I just wanted you to know that I enjoyed your Whole Health Expo seminars and learned what I can do to improve my health today and moving into the future.

Just a quick note to thank you and the folks who organized the Expo in Burlington for the opportunity to present last Saturday. I really enjoyed myself - and hopefully the audience got something out of the talk as well. I'm sure I'll apply to speak again next year

I can't think of anyone who has been more a pleasure to work with and kinder. I say that to people all the time re: you, and I mentioned even today, to my visitor in from Paris that I like working your shows because you don't cut corners and you always pick nice places to run the shows--and that you always come through with what you say.

The annual Whole Health Expo is a one-stop-shopping opportunity for people hoping to explore traditional and notso-traditional ways of enhancing their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Where else can you go to recruit chiropractic services, take a yoga class, get tips on organizing your life, have your aura read and shop all at one time?

Maura Kingsley, a mother of two young boys, has worked to incorporate more of these holistic practices into her life since attending last year's Whole Health Expo.

"I think more and more people are beginning to understand the connection between emotional and spiritual health and their physical health," said Kingsley, who was introduced to the ancient hands-on healing practice of Reiki during last year's expo and has adopted better eating habits and a more sustainable lifestyle for her entire family.

"Life can get crazy. It seems like we spend most of our time looking forward to the weekend rather than enjoying where we are at the moment - that's just not good. I found the expo reminded me that I should be participating in my life rather than just getting through it, and gave me the tools to do just that. It also reminded me of the connection we have with the planet and the important role we have in caring for it."

Saturday and Sunday, March 4th & March 5th, 2006, Portland's Holiday Inn By The Bay hosted the Whole Health Expo. Practitioners of many complimentary and alternative health care modalities were participants. A local TV news team shot a film clip our MAAOM booth which aired on Saturday's 11 P.M. news. During the course of this two day event, more than one thousand attendees visited the Portland Whole Health Expo. The crowd was warm very interested and in search of help and healing, asking questions about the benefits of receiving Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine treatment.

Thanks to the inspiring work of Tom St.Amand, MAAOM Board member and Promotion and Education Committee Chairman, the MAAOM booth at the Expo was both visual striking and warmly inviting.

More than eight of our 47 MAAOM members participated in manning our booth and it was resounding success. MAAOM Members who staffed our booth were able to educate the public about the benefits and strengths of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, those with more personally oriented questions were able to speak to a Licensed Acupuncturist, one on one in a discussion about what that practitioner could offer in treatment specifically to help that individual.

MAAOM believes Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine needs a strong presence in Maine, representing ourselves with strength and compassion; is very evident through our presence and involvement during this recent Whole Health Expo. We are looking to forward to participating in similar events in the near future.
